9.30am-3.00pm This tour commences in The Rocks, where the first British settlers founded Sydney in 1788 and which today is a thriving tourism precinct based among 19th Century warehouses and sailors’ homes. It continues through the picturesque Eastern Suburbs to iconic Bondi Beach and Watsons Bay. Lunch is at the famous Doyles Seafood Restaurant with magnificent views along Sydney Harbour to the Bridge. The return journey visits fashionable Paddington and Darlinghurst. Meals: Lunch included Dress code: Casual
Tuesday, 13 April 2010 Morning Tea at Government House
10.00am-11.30am Join the NSW Minister for Gaming & Racing for morning tea at Government House in the Royal Botanic Gardens, a public oasis in the heart of the city. Government House has been the official home to 27 State Governors from 1846 to 1996. From the magnificent gardens surrounding the historic sandstone building enjoy spectacular views of the city and Sydney Harbour. Meals: Morning tea included Dress code: Smart casual
Wednesday, 14 April 2010 F erry Ride on the Harbour and Yum Cha 10.30am-1.00pm Today we will board a heritage ferry to enjoy Sydney Harbour west of the Harbour Bridge before disembarking at Darling Harbour, once the trading heart of Sydney and now rejuvenated as a world-renowned shopping and dining destination. We will enjoy a traditional Chinese yum cha lunch. Then shop at your leisure on George Street, including the Byzantine styled Queen Victoria Building, described by Pierre Cardin as “the most beautiful shopping centre in the world”. Further along George Street is the historic Strand Arcade, home to many of Australia’s best designer labels, jewellers, coffee bars, and unique gift shops. Meals: Lunch included Dress Code: Casual
